Tepe Nush-i Jan is an archaeological site located in the Malayer valley, near the town of Malayer in western Iran. The site, which dates back to the Median period, around the first half of the first millennium BCE, consists of the remains of a fortified complex, including a temple, a large columned hall, and residential quarters. Excavations at Tepe Nush-i Jan have revealed significant artifacts and structures that provide insights into the religious practices, social organization, and architectural styles of the Median civilization.
Sa Testa Well Sardinia
Sa Testa Well is an ancient sacred well located in Sardinia, Italy. It stands as a testament to the Nuragic civilization that flourished during the Bronze Age. The well is a remarkable example of the Nuragic people’s engineering and religious practices. It is a key archaeological site that offers insights into the spiritual life of this ancient community. The well’s precise function remains a subject of debate among scholars, but it is widely believed to have been used for religious rituals involving water worship.
Río Bec
Río Bec is a distinctive architectural style of the ancient Maya civilization, prevalent in the lowlands of what is now the southern part of the Mexican state of Campeche. It is characterized by its unique twin-pyramid complexes, ornate facades, and the use of false temple pyramids which are not designed to be entered. The Río Bec region flourished during the Late Classic period of Mesoamerican chronology, roughly from the 7th to the 11th century AD. The structures are notable for their resemblance to the central Mexican architectural style, yet they retain a local Maya flavor, indicating a complex cultural exchange between regions.

Rongxian Giant Buddha
The Rongxian Giant Buddha is a towering statue carved into the side of a hill in Rongxian County, Sichuan Province, China. This colossal figure, depicting Maitreya Buddha, stands at an impressive height of over 36 meters, making it one of the tallest pre-modern statues in the world. The Rongxian Giant Buddha has been a significant cultural and religious symbol since its creation, attracting pilgrims and tourists alike. Its historical significance is further underscored by its inclusion in the “Historic Ensemble of the Potala Palace” UNESCO World Heritage Site, which it became a part of in 2000.
Pillkukayna
Pillkukayna is an archaeological site with the remnants of ancient constructions, located on the shore of the island of Isla del Sol in the southern part of Lake Titicaca in Bolivia. There is very little information about Pillkukayna and who built this structure. It requires more archaeological investigation and funding. For now I have documented this site and included images below and will update this post as soon as more information becomes available.
